Twenty-one organizations, representing various city government professions, are officially affiliated with Texas Municipal League (TML).

Each affiliated organization (or affiliate) has a seat on the TML Board. The term of office for the affiliate directors is two years with a maximum of four years for any one person.

To retain affiliate status, each affiliate must fully comply with a set of TML Board-approved Guidelines.


TML offers a variety of services to aid its affiliate groups including:

  • Membership communications and billing
  • Financial management
  • Conference, workshop, and webinar management
  • Board and committee support 
  • Professional development certification management

Each affiliate has its own membership criteria and dues structure that is separate from TML.
